Avondale Global Gateway today announced the start of construction on a significant expansion of its terminal facilities, adding new deep-water berth capacity and expanded laydown space to serve growing demand across breakbulk, project, and container-on-barge cargo.
The expansion reinforces Avondale’s position as a premier multimodal gateway on the Lower Mississippi River, with direct access to six Class I railroads and immediate interstate connectivity.
